Graduate
Graduate from high school on time.

The first three education focus areas build toward high school graduation, a major milestone on the path to successful adulthood. Over their lifetime, high school graduates earn 74% more than those who drop out. High school graduation is the single most powerful predictor of whether a young person coming from generations of poverty will break the cycle.

United Way is deeply involved in the work to combat the dropout crisis through key partnerships - with our local program partners, like Girls Inc., Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Boys & Girls Club, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Partnership for Families Children and Adults, Speech and Hearing Center, and Northside Neighborhood House, and with national partners like the Ready by 21 Partnership, a national coalition dedicated to ensuring that all students are prepared for college and/or the world of work.

We will report progress, success stories and case studies on local graduation success on this page in the future, so stay tuned.
